SECTION 02487 <br />SODDING <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. Provide all labor, materials, necessary equipment and services to complete the Sodding <br />work, as indicated on the drawings, as specified herein or both, except as for items <br />specifically indicated as "NIC ITEMS ". <br />B. Disturbed areas shall be re- sodded with like materials. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK <br />A. Section 02481 - Shrub and Tree Relocation <br />B. Section 02484 - Soil Preparation and Soil Mixes <br />C. Section 02490 - Trees, Shrubs, and Groundcover <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Standards: Federal Specifications (FS) O- F -241c (1), Fertilizers, Mixed, Commercial. <br />B. Testing Agency: Independent Testing Laboratory. <br />C. Requirements or Regulatory Agencies: Conform to the requirements of the State <br />Department of Agriculture. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Certificates: <br />1. Growers Certification: <br />(a) Grass species, and location of field from which sod is cut. <br />(b) Compliance with state and federal quarantine restrictions. <br />(c) Manufacturer's certification of fertilizer and herbicide composition. <br />B. Maintenance Instruction: <br />1. Prior to the end of the maintenance period, furnish three copies of written <br />maintenance instructions to the Owner's Representative and Landscape Architect <br />for maintenance and care of all sodding throughout the full growing season. <br />06/05 02487 -1 03- 4138.13 <br />
