Kroll, RLA <br />Vice President <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Kroll, Vice President of Landscape <br />Architecture, Planning and <br />Environmental Services, is responsible <br />for the management of public and private <br />projects throughout Florida including <br />such services as landscape architecture, <br />urban design, and wetland mitigation. Mr. <br />Kroll is a member of the firm's <br />Leadership Council. <br />Prior to joining the firm, he was vice <br />president of Peninsula Design & <br />Engineering, Inc., a multi - disciplinary firm <br />specializing in landscape architecture, <br />planning, ecological and civil engineering <br />services. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Sunny Isles Beach Active Park - A <br />2.5 -acre active park site, for which Miller <br />Legg managed landscape architecture, <br />irrigation, engineering, surveying and <br />architecture designs for a baseball field, <br />recreation building, playground <br />structure, multi - purpose court and <br />related site amenities within the City. <br />The project management team at Miller <br />Legg received recognition from the City <br />for their involvement in the design <br />completion of the Park. <br />Weston Athletic Park - A 102 -acre <br />sports park in Weston that includes <br />fields for baseball, softball, soccer, <br />basketball and the world's largest roller <br />hockey complex. This project required <br />planning of active recreation areas, <br />playgrounds, building facilities, parking, as <br />well as pedestrian and vehicular <br />circulation. Award: Broward Beautiful First <br />Place for Large Parks, Broward County, <br />2004 <br />Victoria Gardens Interpretive <br />Nature Trail - Development of design <br />concepts for an interpretive nature trail <br />associated with this residential <br />subdivision being developed by the St. <br />Joe Towns & Resorts, located in Volusia <br />County. The project includes the <br />development of interpretive signage and <br />a way - finding marker system to allow the <br />residents to understand and enjoy the <br />100 -acre natural area set -aside <br />associated with the development. The <br />signage structures have been designed to <br />compliment the architectural elements of <br />the public architecture of the project. <br />Town of Davie Math Igler Park - <br />The project entailed development of a <br />conceptual park master plan for the 2- <br />acre site for the Town of Davie. The <br />park would serve as a passive park for <br />the surrounding neighborhood. The <br />Miller Legg team created a design that <br />paid homage to the heritage of the site <br />as an old citrus processing /packaging site. <br />The design of the tot lots followed the <br />theme of 'orange processing' from <br />picking oranges in a grove setting to <br />processing them. Included in the park <br />program was a connection to the area <br />horse trails, a large picnic gazebo with <br />open play areas associated with it, two <br />tot lots, a small parking lot and a <br />butterfly garden and retention area that <br />is enhanced as a cypress dome. <br />Sample Road Streetscape - Miller <br />Legg prepared the planting and <br />hardscape design of 4 -lane divided <br />roadway in Broward County. The design <br />incorporated existing trees and palms <br />and established a plant and paver palette <br />theme for future roadways within the <br />City of Coconut Creek. In addition to <br />landscape, irrigation and hardscape <br />designs, grant preparation services were <br />provided as part of this project. Award: <br />Broward Beautiful Third Place for <br />Roadway /Swale Beautification, Broward <br />County, 2004 <br />Reynolds Park - Development of <br />design guidelines and master <br />redevelopment plan for a 600 -acre <br />technology and industrial park with rail <br />and airport facilities on the St. John's <br />River in Clay County. The project had <br />previously been a naval base and these <br />guidelines established an identity that <br />allowed this project to transition into a <br />technology park. <br />
