MILLER�`KEGG Ronald Q. Rollins, RLA Landscape Architect Professional Experience: Mr. Rollins joined Miller Legg as a Landscape Architect and he has more than 14 years of design and management experience. He is responsible for landscape architectural design for a variety of public and private projects including roadway landscaping and irrigation, active and passive park landscape design, as well as residential and commercial projects. Prior to joining the firm, Ron served as a project manager and Landscape Architect for several multi - disciplinary and landscape architecture firms in Florida. Most notable was his experience preparing several schematic designs employing "New Urbanist" principles for urban in -fill projects in Gainesville, Florida. Relevant Project Experience: Sunny Isles Beach Active Park - A 2.5 -acre active park site, for which Miller Legg managed landscape architecture, irrigation, engineering, surveying and architecture designs for a baseball field, recreation building, playground structure, multi - purpose court and related site amenities within the City. The project management team at Miller Legg received recognition from the City for their involvement in the design completion of the Park. Town of Jupiter's A - I -A Beach Corridor Project - I -mile long project along the beachfront. Project included improvements to A- I -A with on- street parking provisions and pedestrian circulation improvements for the entire corridor and improvements to existing off - street parking facilities, dunescape enhancements and improvements, and new & improved access [boardwalks] to the beach. Project was with a previous employer. City of Miami Beach's Recreational Corridor - 2 -mile Beachfront recreational corridor. 15 -foot multi -use recreational corridor along Miami Beach's famed ocean front property. Included enhanced 'rest stops' and seating areas, boardwalk access points to the beach and ocean and enhanced pedestrian connections from Collins Avenue to the Beach Corridor. Work included planning and conceptual designs. Project was with a previous employer. Avon Park Streetscape Improvements - Planned urban design changes to the City Center area of the City of Avon Park in conjunction with modifications to SR 64, the City's Main Street, and Commercial Center. The initial streetscape plans included public involvement, re -doing the street and sidewalks in the Central Business District, landscaping and irrigation, and other improvements. Miller Legg worked with FDOT District I on this project. Plans were prepared according to FDOT standards and reviewed by the agency on several occasions. After several iterations of taking bids, the City determined that none of the bidders was responsive, and has since modified the scope of work to include a more limited renovation to the sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping. Atlantic Boulevard Streetscape - This one -mile stretch of Atlantic Boulevard through the City of Coral Springs was designed within the medians. This project included field verification of existing plant material and irrigation, as well as coordination with Broward County for permitting along Atlantic Blvd. and the Florida Department of Transportation for permitting along University Drive. Immokalee Reservation Master Plan - Development of an innovative Master Plan for The Seminole Tribe of Florida's Immokalee Reservation that will be used to govern the future build -out of the reservation.
