Rollins, RLA <br />Landscape Architect <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Rollins joined Miller Legg as a <br />Landscape Architect and he has more <br />than 14 years of design and management <br />experience. He is responsible for <br />landscape architectural design for a <br />variety of public and private projects <br />including roadway landscaping and <br />irrigation, active and passive park <br />landscape design, as well as residential <br />and commercial projects. <br />Prior to joining the firm, Ron served as a <br />project manager and Landscape <br />Architect for several multi - disciplinary <br />and landscape architecture firms in <br />Florida. Most notable was his experience <br />preparing several schematic designs <br />employing "New Urbanist" principles for <br />urban in -fill projects in Gainesville, <br />Florida. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Sunny Isles Beach Active Park - A <br />2.5 -acre active park site, for which Miller <br />Legg managed landscape architecture, <br />irrigation, engineering, surveying and <br />architecture designs for a baseball field, <br />recreation building, playground <br />structure, multi - purpose court and <br />related site amenities within the City. <br />The project management team at Miller <br />Legg received recognition from the City <br />for their involvement in the design <br />completion of the Park. <br />Town of Jupiter's A - I -A Beach <br />Corridor Project - I -mile long project <br />along the beachfront. Project included <br />improvements to A- I -A with on- street <br />parking provisions and pedestrian <br />circulation improvements for the entire <br />corridor and improvements to existing <br />off - street parking facilities, dunescape <br />enhancements and improvements, and <br />new & improved access [boardwalks] to <br />the beach. Project was with a previous <br />employer. <br />City of Miami Beach's Recreational <br />Corridor - 2 -mile Beachfront <br />recreational corridor. 15 -foot multi -use <br />recreational corridor along Miami <br />Beach's famed ocean front property. <br />Included enhanced 'rest stops' and <br />seating areas, boardwalk access points to <br />the beach and ocean and enhanced <br />pedestrian connections from Collins <br />Avenue to the Beach Corridor. Work <br />included planning and conceptual <br />designs. Project was with a previous <br />employer. <br />Avon Park Streetscape <br />Improvements - Planned urban design <br />changes to the City Center area of the <br />City of Avon Park in conjunction with <br />modifications to SR 64, the City's Main <br />Street, and Commercial Center. The <br />initial streetscape plans included public <br />involvement, re -doing the street and <br />sidewalks in the Central Business <br />District, landscaping and irrigation, and <br />other improvements. Miller Legg worked <br />with FDOT District I on this project. <br />Plans were prepared according to FDOT <br />standards and reviewed by the agency on <br />several occasions. After several <br />iterations of taking bids, the City <br />determined that none of the bidders was <br />responsive, and has since modified the <br />scope of work to include a more limited <br />renovation to the sidewalks, lighting, and <br />landscaping. <br />Atlantic Boulevard Streetscape - <br />This one -mile stretch of Atlantic <br />Boulevard through the City of Coral <br />Springs was designed within the medians. <br />This project included field verification of <br />existing plant material and irrigation, as <br />well as coordination with Broward <br />County for permitting along Atlantic <br />Blvd. and the Florida Department of <br />Transportation for permitting along <br />University Drive. <br />Immokalee Reservation Master <br />Plan - Development of an innovative <br />Master Plan for The Seminole Tribe of <br />Florida's Immokalee Reservation that will <br />be used to govern the future build -out of <br />the reservation. The Tribe requested a <br />break from conventional suburban <br />master planning paradigms, wanting a <br />
