Shore, RLA <br />Landscape Architect <br />122 <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Shore is a Landscape Architect with <br />more than 6 years of experience in <br />landscape architectural design and <br />landscape construction services for a <br />variety of public and private projects. <br />Specialties include landscape, hardscape, <br />and irrigation design services for <br />streetscape and roadway projects, all <br />aspects of active and passive park design, <br />health -care campuses, and environmental <br />wetland habitat creation. Other <br />experience includes various residential <br />and commercial projects. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Avon Park Streetscape <br />Improvements - Planned urban design <br />changes to the City Center area of the <br />City of Avon Park in conjunction with <br />modifications to SR 64, the City's Main <br />Street and Commercial Center. The <br />initial streetscape plans included public <br />involvement, re -doing the street and <br />sidewalks in the Central Business <br />District, landscaping and irrigation, and <br />other improvements. Miller Legg worked <br />with FDOT District I on this project. <br />Plans were prepared according to FDOT <br />standards and reviewed by the agency on <br />several occasions. After several <br />iterations of taking bids, the City <br />determined that none of the bidders was <br />responsive, and has since modified the <br />scope of work to include a more limited <br />renovation to the sidewalks, lighting, and <br />landscaping. <br />Sunny Isles Beach Active Park - A <br />2.5 -acre active park site, for which Miller <br />Legg managed landscape architecture, <br />irrigation, engineering, surveying and <br />architecture designs for a baseball field, <br />recreation building, playground <br />structure, multi - purpose court and <br />related site amenities within the City. <br />The project management team at Miller <br />Legg received recognition from the City <br />for their involvement in the design <br />completion of the Park. <br />MILLER�`�EGG <br />Sample Road Streetscape - Miller <br />Legg prepared the planting and <br />hardscape design of 4 -lane divided <br />roadway in Broward County. The design <br />incorporated existing trees and palms <br />and established a plant and paver palette <br />theme for future roadways within the <br />City of Coconut Creek. In addition to <br />landscape, irrigation and hardscape <br />designs, grant preparation services were <br />provided as part of this project. Award: <br />Broward Beautiful Third Place for <br />Roadway /Swale Beautification, Broward <br />County, 2004 <br />Plantation Preserve & Golf Club - <br />This is a 213 -acre project which involves <br />the City's acquisition of the former <br />Plantation Golf Club and the subsequent <br />design of an Audubon - certified par 72 <br />championship golf course incorporating a <br />linear trail recreational component <br />within the center of the proposed golf <br />course. Funding for this project was <br />secured through the Florida <br />Communities Trust (FCT), the Broward <br />County Open Space Fund and the sale of <br />on -site created wetland credits. Services <br />Miller Legg is providing include: overall <br />project management services as well as <br />site master planning, wetland mitigation <br />design and environmental permitting, <br />surveying, landscape architecture, <br />engineering services, stormwater <br />management, flora and fauna evaluation, <br />archaeological coordination, and <br />construction services. <br />Miramar Parkway Revitalization - <br />This redevelopment and streetscape <br />project includes a 1.5 mile 2 -block urban <br />section of the Miramar Parkway corridor <br />adjacent to SR 7 /US 441. Miller Legg is <br />handling designing the landscape and <br />irrigation improvements for FDOT along <br />this corridor north and south of Miramar <br />Parkway. The proposed streetscape <br />improvements include enhancement of <br />the pedestrian corridor to encourage <br />safe pedestrian traffic for adjacent <br />commercial and office uses. The design <br />also calls for consolidated parking areas <br />rather than replacing backout parking in <br />
