F. During grading, protect all buried valved extensions and covers, sprinklers <br />and any other mechanical or structural object protruding from below <br />grade. <br />3.05 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL <br />A. Contractor will engage soil testing and inspection service for quality <br />control testing during earthwork operations. <br />B. Allow testing service to inspect and approve subgrades and fill layers <br />before further construction work is performed. <br />C. If in opinion of Engineer, based on testing service reports and inspection, <br />subgrade or fills that have been placed below specified density, provide <br />additional compaction and testing at no additional expense to Owner. <br />3.06 CLEANING AND PROTECTION <br />06/06 <br />A. Protect newly graded areas from traffic and erosion. Keep free of trash <br />and debris. <br />B. Repair and re- establish grades in settled, eroded, and rutted areas to <br />specified tolerances. <br />C. Remove excess excavated and waste materials, including unacceptable <br />excavated material, trash and debris, and legally dispose of it off Owner's <br />property. <br />END OF SECTION <br />02200 -7 03- 4138.0 <br />
