E. Herbicides: As recommended by applicable Agricultural Public Agencies. <br />F. Soil Fumigants: As recommended by applicable Agricultural Public <br />' Agencies. <br />G. Fertilizer: <br />1. Commercial grade fertilizer to comply with State of Florida Fertilizer <br />laws. Chemical designation shall be as specified with at least 50% <br />of the nitrogen derived from a non -water soluble organic source <br />and all potash to be derived from sulfate forms for all plantings <br />excluding sod and plantings on the lake edges. <br />Chemical designation shall be as specified with at least 80% of the <br />nitrogen derived from a non - water - soluble organic source and all <br />potash to be derived from sulfate forms for all sod and plantings on <br />lake edges. <br />The following minor elements shall be included: <br />2.2% ZnO 0.25% CuO <br />' 4.0% MgO 0.005% Fe203 <br />0.5% MnO 0.1 % B203 <br />a. Federal Specifications 0-F0241 Type 1, Grade A or B. <br />b. The chemical designation for granular fertilizer for all <br />plantings shall be 12 -8 -8. <br />December 2006 02484 -3 06 -5723 <br />D. <br />Sterilize topsoil to be used in soil mixture(s) to make free of all viable nut <br />grass, and other undesirable weed seeds. <br />E. <br />A sample of the sand and a sample of the 80 -20 sand and muck mixture <br />shall be submitted to the Owner for approval prior to installation. <br />F. <br />The Owner has the right to reject topsoil utilized at anytime during the <br />execution of work that does not meet specifications. Topsoil and planting <br />soil will be tested at Owners request for suitability of horticultural use. <br />' <br />2.02 SOIL CONDITIONERS <br />A. <br />Dolomitic Limestone: Approved product, designated for agriculture use. <br />B. <br />Aluminum Sulfate: Manufacturer's standard commercial g rade. <br />C. <br />Florida Peat: Suitable for plant growth, capable of sustaining vigorous <br />plant growth, and specifically pulverized for agricultural use. Florida peat <br />shall be free of deleterious materials that would be harmful to plant <br />growth, shall be free of nematodes, shall be of uniform quality, and shall <br />have a pH value between 5.5 and 6.5 (as determined in accordance with <br />ASTM E70).
