.-aivini. (--iiordano &I Associates, Inc.
Project
Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. (CGA) was retained by Florida Power & Light (FPL) for
the Riverbend Substation project which included three different sites located in different
locations in Palm Beach County, consisting of boundary, location, and title survey. A
Trimble 5800 Global Positioning System (GPS) was used to establish sectional and
subdivision control. Additional GPS was used to tie the survey into the "Palm Beach
County GPS Control Network." This allowed CGA to have each job site on state plane
coordinates. Electronic Total Stations, equipped with data collectors and self leveling
levels, were used to provide locations and elevations for design which assisted in
delivering the project on schedule and within budget.
Client
Florida Power & Light
Contact information
at time of project:
Katherine C.
