GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />BKR Garcia agrees to address all points outlined in your request for proposal. BKR Garcia <br />agrees to adhere to the instructions for preparing and subm itting the proposal. <br /> <br />2. INDEPENDENCE <br /> <br />BKR Garcia affirms we meet the independence requirements of the Standards for Audit of <br />Governmental Organizations Programs, Activities and Functions published by the U.S. <br />Government Accounting Office, Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS) issued by the <br />Comptroller General of the United States and the Laws and Rules of Florida Board of Accounting <br />or any subsequent amendments or superseding revisions. As defined by auditing standards <br />generally accepted in the United States of America and the U.S. Government Accounting Office's <br />Government Auditing Standards, we are independent of the City of Sunny Isles Beach and its <br />component units. <br /> <br />BKR Garcia has never performed any professional services for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, or <br />any component units thereof. <br /> <br />3. LICENSE TO PRACTICE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br /> <br />BKR Garcia is a properly registered/licensed State of Florida professional association, and our <br />assigned key professional staffs are properly registered/licensed to practice in the State of Florida <br />and are qualified to perform nonprofit and governmental audits (ref. Appendix I). <br /> <br />4. FIRM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE <br /> <br />BKR GARCIA: GOVERNMENT INDUSTRY FOCUS <br /> <br />BKR Garcia is an accounting firm (South Florida professional Limited Liability Company) <br />providing comprehensive financial and compliance auditing, attestation, accounting and other <br />management consulting and tax services.
