<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 01570 <br /> <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION: The Work to be performed under this section shall include furnishing all <br />materials and labor necessary to regulate vehicular and pedestrian traffic. <br /> <br />1.02 APPLICABLE CODES, STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS: The Work under this <br />Contract shall be in strict accordance with the following codes and standards. <br /> <br />A. Local, county and municipal codes. <br /> <br />B. Florida Department of Transportation Specifications (DOT) <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS (Not Applicable) <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 TRAFFIC AND VEHICULAR ACCESS: <br /> <br />A. Emergency Vehicles: No multi-family residence, apartment, commercial building <br />or place of employment shall be without access to emergency vehicles for a <br />period longer than three hours. The Contractor shall notify in writing the <br />Engineer, the police, fire and other emergency departments and agencies when <br />and where work is to be accomplished that will affect their operations at least two <br />days in advance of such work. <br /> <br />B. Major Road and Streets: No major roads or streets shall be blocked to traffic <br />without adequate detour facilities for a period of more than 30 minutes or as <br />directed by the governing authority. <br /> <br />C. Commercial Properties: Access to commercial property shall not be blocked for a <br />period of more than 30 minutes during the time such properties are open for <br />business. <br /> <br />D. Residential Property: Access to residential property shall not be blocked for a <br />period of more than 24 hours. <br /> <br />3.02 CONSTRUCTION IN STATE HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY: Construction within all State <br />highway right-of-way shall be made in full compliance with all requirements and to the <br />satisfaction of the Florida Department of Transportation. All necessary barricades, <br />detours, lights and other protective measures shall be provided for the protection of both <br />pedestrian and vehicular traffic. <br /> <br />3.03 CONSTRUCTION IN OTHER THAN STATE HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY: Construction <br />within right-of-way other than State highway shall be made in full compliance with all <br />requirements of the Florida Department of Transportation and to the satisfaction of the <br />local governing bodies. All necessary barricades, detours, lights and other protective <br />measures shall be provided for the protection of both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br /> <br />06/07 <br /> <br />01570-1 <br /> <br />03-4197 <br />
