The items <br />discussed were as follows: <br /> <br />1. Liquidated damages of $1500 per calendar day until substantial completion; <br />then after that $1000 per day until final. <br />2. Unit bid project: paying for installed and approved items only <br />3. Project will commence at 17211d Street and Collins Avenue <br />4. W ASA will be doing major sewer reconstmction: several deep manholes and <br />this project will be completed in the same time that W ASA starts their <br />constmction <br />5. Contractor should be prepared to install cross-drains <br />6. Water encroached on roadways will be eliminated <br />7. Other utilities are at a shallow depth (generally 4 feet) ~U1d may have to go <br />deeper in cases where we have conflicts <br />8. An entirely new drainage system, eX1sting drainage will be demolished <br />9. FPL is undergrOlUld and will have to be coordinated as well as telephone and <br />cable TV <br />10. 172nd Street will have to be closed and there will be no thru street, except to <br />apt buildings <br />] 1. Asphalt is not salvageable - aU new base and new asphalt <br />12. Construction easement parallel with right-of-way provided; can encroach <br />into adjoining properties so that you can put fiJJ adjacent to raised grade <br />13. Existing Contractor will clean drainage well aud core one catch basin, no <br />outfall <br />14. Only attendees to this mandatory pre-bid meeting will be allowed to bid. <br />15. Questions must be made in writing and no later than five days before bid <br />opening in order to guarantee a response. <br />
