Vera, Acting City Manager <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />1/20/20 II <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Awarding offence contract to United Iron & Aluminum Contractor <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached resolution to award a contract to United Iron <br />& Aluminum Contractor. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City obtained an 10 foot landscape easement from the owner of the property located <br />at the northwest corner of Collins A venue and State Road 826. The easement is part of <br />the Collins Avenue landscape beatification project. <br /> <br />The City has already completed a part of the project by installing a new paver sidewalk <br />along the property. The City solicited quotes from three fence contractors and chose <br />United Iron & Aluminum Contractor for having the lowest quote for the services being <br />requested. United Iron & Aluminum Contractor will provide and install an aluminum <br />picket fence along the perimeter of the property for an amount not to exceed $16,935. <br /> <br />A TT ACHMENTS: <br />.
