His responsibility is heading the <br />Architectural Design and Production Department. Mr. <br />Cruz has been involved in Architectural Design and <br />Construction for over thirty-seven years. Twenty-nine <br />of those years as a principal in Architecture and <br />Planning firms, handling all phases of projects from <br />design to final construction. <br /> <br />.. <br />.. <br /> <br />ARCHITECTS <br />International <br /> <br />EXPERIENCE WITH ARCHITECTS INTERNATIONAL, INC. <br /> <br />JMH-Ambulatory Surgery Center C3, PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) <br />Project Manager <br />Architects Intemational, Inc. is currently providing Architectural and Engineering <br />services for this 23,000 SF state of the art Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) <br />located at the Diagnostic Treatment Center (DTC) 3rd Floor. The central 3rd floor <br />area will be completely remodeled to accommodate administrative functions of <br />Pre-Operative services and Anesthesia. Subsequently the project was re- <br />accessed to provide more flexibility by remodeling the existing PACU and <br />expanding it from 32 beds to 43 beds flexible use beds. The layout allows 11 of <br />these beds to be used as a separate pediatric PACU. This project went before <br />ACHA on March 19th, 2007 for the State 1, Schematic review (copy attached) and <br />project was approved with no comments. Project is now into the Design <br />Development Phase. The construction will be done in 3 phases with a total <br />construction cost of 6.5 M. <br /> <br />Miami-Dade County Parks & Recreation - Deerwood Park Recreation <br />Center <br />Project Manager - Design Development: Project starting with the evaluation of <br />the site. Design and construction of a 4,100 SF recreation building, lighted <br />vehicular parking lot, surrounding pathways, landscaping, and all related <br />infrastructure such as utilities, drainage and right of way improvements. Project <br />later explanted to include construction of a lighted baseball field. Provided <br />illumination to basketball and soccer courts as well as walkways <br /> <br />Turnpike District - Project Manager <br />SUNPASS CHALLENGE I and II - In Dade, Broward & Palm Beach Counties. <br />Mr. Cruz is in charge of the architectural and engineering design coordination for <br />this project. As sub-consultant, Architects Intemational has been retained to <br />provide architectural design for plaza island modifications and canopy signs <br />supports to install SunPass dedicated lanes and improve advance signing at the <br />Mainline Plazas. The project includes the improvements of Eleven Toll Plazas: <br />Homestead - Okeechobee - Biscayne - Bird Road - SW Ef' Street - Kendaff Drive <br />- Affapattah - Miramar - Sunrise - Boynton Beach - Boca Raton <br /> <br />SFRTA - Tri-Rail Station Relocation @ MIA-Project Manager <br />As sub-consultants, Architects International has been retained to provide <br />Architectural & Engineering Services for the relocation of the MIA Station. The <br />Tri-Rail Miami Intemational Airport Station is currently located north of NW 21st <br />Street. and east of NW 39th Avenue. Due to the construction of the proposed <br />Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) Facilities, the Tri-Rail Station at the Miami <br />International Airport and associated tracks will need to be relocated along the <br />South Florida Rail Corridor (SFRC), to north of NW 25th Street. <br /> <br />SFRTA-Tri-Rail Operations Center in Cypress Creek - Project Manager <br />As sub-consultants, Architects Intemational has been retained to provide <br />Architectural/Engineering documents for Tri-Rail Operations Center at Cypress <br />Creek. The project includes reviewing the conceptual building plans and site <br />plans proposed in Phase I document with Tri-Rail so that Tri-Rail may evaluate <br />the impacts of the proposed facility and its future growth projections. <br />
