BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />TimHaahs, the project team's Parking Consultant, was responsible for the functional design and structural engineering of the 499 <br />space employee Parking Garage for MBNA America's new Southern Regional Headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida, The project, <br />completed in the summer of 1997, also included construction of two office buildings, <br /> <br />II <br />,I <br />I <br /> <br />Measuring 188' x 178', the functional layout incorporates one-way traffic along the flat outer bays while using two-way traffic along <br />the center ramped bay for vertical circulation. The facility uses 9'-0" standard parking stalls and also includes 8'-0" compact parking <br />spaces. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The structural design uses a combination cast-in-place/precast Filigree concrete system that allowed for six levels matching the <br />adjacent office height <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The architectural design by Homsey Architects of Wilmington, Delaware, blended the look of the parking facility with the adjacent <br />office buildings.
