Grandinetti, Police Captain <br /> <br />2/23/2011 <br /> <br />Authorization to enter into an agreement and expend up to <br />$13,000 annually with Sedona Cleaners Corp. for dry cleaning <br />services for police uniforms. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a one (1) year agreement and expend up to <br />$13,000 annually with Sedona Cleaners, Corp. for dry cleaning services. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />Staff has solicited three bids from local vendors and has deemed Sedona <br />Cleaners, Corp. the lowest responsible, responsive bidder providing an <br />estimated savings of over $4,000.00 annually. This agreement provides for an <br />option to extend th is ag reement for one (1) add itional one (1) year term based <br />upon the City's exercise of the optional renewal periods. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> <br />It is necessary to dry clean our police uniforms in order to maintain the quality, <br />appearance and image of the Police Department. Dry cleaning maintains the <br />material quality of the uniforms for an extended period of time, thus saving on <br />replacement costs. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />Funds are budgeted and available in account# 10.521-5522 <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />.
