<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting <br /> <br />July 20, 2006 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Public Works Director James Watts reported <br />noting that the $lS0 increase is due to a leak in the pool resulting in Pool Rangers having to <br />use a large amount of chemicals, but with the next budget year the pool will be fixed, and <br />then they won't use as many chemicals and we can re-negotiate a lower price. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Thaler asked ifthere was anybody else that we can go to, and Mr. Watts said <br />no, that we put an RFP out on this and Pool Rangers was the sole bidder. He said everybody <br />will take care of a pool but nobody will take care of a fountain. <br /> <br />Commissioner Iglesias moved and Vice Mayor Brezin seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2006-958 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />lOR. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Providing <br />for the Acceptance of the Appraised Land Value of $5,150,000.00 for the Property <br />Located at 16690 Collins Avenue AIKIA St. Tropez; Providing for the Acceptance and <br />Payment by the Applicant of $1,162,616.91 for the Transfer of 17 Units of the City's <br />TDR Bank; Providing for Ten Percent (10%) Deposit for TDRs; Providing for <br />Adjustment of the Balance of TDR from City's Bank to Reflect a Decrease of 32,759 <br />Square Feet and 17 Units, on the Property Located at 16690 Collins Avenue; Providing <br />for Credits for the Undergrounding of Utilities; Providing the City Manager with the <br />Authority to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an <br />Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: [City Clerk's Note: Correspondence from Quinlinan Appraisal was distributed; <br />this item was heard after Item 6A] City Clerk Hines read the title and Planning and Zoning <br />Technician Elena Del Campillo reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: Clifford Schulman, Esq. <br /> <br />Clifford Schulman, Esq., incorporated his comments from Item 6A into this matter. Mayor <br />Ede1cup noted for the record that this works out to $35.49 a square foot for each FAR <br />purchased. <br /> <br />Commissioner Iglesias moved and Vice Mayor Brezin seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2006-959 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />[City Clerk's Note: The Commission took a 5-minute recess before hearing Item 5B.] <br /> <br />10S. A Resolution of the City Commission ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Authorizing <br />the Donation of a 18-Passenger Van to Nord Ouest Environmental to Provide <br />Transportation Assistance for an Environmental Reforestation Program in Haiti; Providing <br />the City Manager with the Authority to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this <br />Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Mayor Ede1cup reported.
