FL - The Third Annual Sunny Isles Beach <br />Jazz Fest was a three day, multi-venue event that featured an international line-up of <br />jazz stars and welcomed close to a 2,000 jazz lovers, Produced by the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach in partnership with the Sunny Isles Beach Tourism and Marketing Council, <br />the weekend of October 15-17,2010 brought the extraordinary diverse sounds of jazz to <br />Sunny Isles Beach for all to enjoy while benefiting Joshua's Heart Foundation <br />(www.ioshuasheart.ora) and the Miami Children's Hospital Foundation (www.mchf.ora). <br /> <br />The Jazz Fest weekend began on Thursday, October 14th with an Evening VIP Poster- <br />Unveiling Party at the Trump International Resort. This year, the poster was designed by <br />the local artist Ed King and auctioned off to benefit Joshua's Heart Foundation, <br /> <br />The weekend Festival officially kicked off on Friday, October 15th from 8:00 to 11 :00 p,m. <br />with a spectacular performance by pianist and composer, Tony Sona at the elegant Jazz <br />Club in Aequalina Resort & Spa, located at 17875 Collins Avenue. <br /> <br />Headlining the festival on Saturday, October 16th was an electric performance by one <br />of the most recorded saxophonists in jazz history, Ed Calle,at the spectacular <br />Samson Oceanfront Park, located at 17425 Collins Avenue, Calle enticed the crowd with <br />a unique combination of smooth rhythmic sounds. Opening for Ed Calle, was the Afro- <br />Cuban Jazz band, Oriente followed by the energetic and entertaining saxophonist <br />extraordinaire Jesse Jones, JR. and a soothing serenade by talented songstress, <br />Yvonne Brown, <br /> <br />Guests in the VIP area enjoyed reserved seating. All evening attendees could also enjoy <br />a wide selection of food and beverages as well as delicious selections from Jame's <br />Barbeque, The bar featured wine and beer from Barefoot Wine and Polar Beer; with all <br />proceeds benefiting Joshua's Heart Foundation and the Miami Children's Hospital <br />Foundation. <br /> <br />o <br />
