<br />7.7.8.5.9 <br /> <br />Check all doors to make sure that they are properly locked. <br /> <br />7.7.9 11. through 12. Stairwells. The following itemized schedule and listing <br />cleaning items shall be construed to be the minimum acceptable for this contract. In <br />addition to the following, spot cleaning shall be included as required: <br /> <br />7.7.9.1.1 <br /> <br />Sweep and vacuum all stairs once a week. <br /> <br />7.7.9.1.2 <br /> <br />Clean all entry doors and hardware once a week. <br /> <br />7.7.9.1.3 <br /> <br />Clean and disinfect all handrails once a week. <br /> <br />7.7.9.1.4 <br /> <br />Check for and remove all graffiti every day. <br /> <br />7.8 GENERAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />7.8.1 Accompanying these specifications is a list defining areas to be maintained. By submitting <br />a bid, the bidder certifies that he/she is familiar with the sites and the proposed scope of work, <br />prior to submitting a bid. The City reserves the right to remove specific locations on a temporary <br />or permanent basis, as deemed appropriate. <br /> <br />7.8.2 All equipment shall be maintained in an efficient and safe operating condition while <br />performing work under the contract. Equipment shall have all proper safety devices required by <br />law, properly maintained, and in use at all times. If equipment does not contain proper safety <br />devices and/or is being operated in an unsafe manner, the City may direct the Contractor to <br />remove such equipment and/or the operator until the deficiency is corrected to the satisfaction of <br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The Contractor shall be solely responsible and liable for injury to <br />persons, and/or property damage caused by operation of the equipment. <br /> <br />7.8.3 The City Hall is located at 18070 Collins Avenue. The total area for these facilities is <br />approximately 54,000 square feet. Complete Janitorial services by experienced and reliable <br />personnel will be required Monday thru Saturday, after 6:00pm except Saturday when an earlier <br />start time at some of the facilities is permissible. Included in the square footage above is the Post <br />Office (approximately 1,200 square feet) and the Library (approximately 7,500 square feet). <br /> <br />7.8.4 Prior to starting work, the contractor shall provide a listing of all personnel to be allowed <br />in the building. Minimum required information should include the name, resident address, <br />telephone number, date of birth, and Social Security number, for a thorough police background <br />check. No one shall be allowed to work in this building without this information and background <br />checks on file. No one under the age of seventeen will be allowed in the building. Comouters. <br />copy machines. radios and teleohones are not to be used or moved bv Contractor oersonnel. <br /> <br />7.8.5 The City shall have the right to require the contractor to remove from assignment to its <br />facilities such employees as shall be deemed incompetent, careless, insubordinate, or in any way <br />objectionable, or any personnel whose actions may be contrary to the public interest or <br />inconsistent with the best interests of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Employees shall be properly <br />certified - (1-9) citizens, Visa green cards, etc. All personnel shall wear uniforms with exposed I.D. <br />tags, issued by the City, or they shall not be permitted to enter the premises. All employees <br />responsible to open and close shall be capable of operating fire and burglar alarm systems <br />properly. <br /> <br />7.8.6 In general, the achievement of the desired standards as outlined here will result in an <br /> <br />PAGE 40 OF 78 <br />
