<br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Pubic Service Announcement Example <br /> <br />The following is an example of Public Service Announcement information that can be disseminated following a disaster <br />event in (County/Cityffown/Jurisdiciton): <br /> <br />Local crews and contractors are working 7 days per week, 10 to 12 hours per day, collecting only storm-generated <br />debris. <br /> <br />We have divided the {Jurisdiction] into multiple debris collection zones. All zones are being worked in the same <br />time with the goal of coordinated, safe and efficient recovery. Your cooperation and patience is appreciated. <br /> <br />We will be collecting all the yard debris from one subdivision/street/block in a zone before moving to the next. <br /> <br />Three collection passes will be made: <br />From the ]'1 to the 3(jh day after the storm, afirst pass will be made in your neighborhood. <br />The debris collected will include vegetative debris and bulky material, large construction material, white goods <br />and items that pose a health and safety risk. <br />A second pass will be made from the 3]'1 to the 6(jh day after the storm. The debris collected will include large and <br />small vegetative debris and large and small construction debris. This pass will be more thorough. <br />A third pass will take place between the 6]'1 and 9(jh day after the storm. All eligible material will be collectedfor <br />final inspection by {Jurisdiction] representatives. <br /> <br />As you are preparing to place your debris for pick up, please adhere to the following guidelines: <br />1. Do not place any debris on top of utilities (cable, phone, electrical, or storm drain boxes). <br />2. Please do not block you mail box with the debris. <br />3. Please try not to block the roadways with debris piles, emergency vehicles may need to enter and exit your <br />area. <br />4. Please drive carefully and slowly in areas with large debris piles. <br />5. Please do not dump any debris into storm drains or ditches this will causejlooding. <br />6. Please help by sweeping up loose debris from the road infront of your house and bagging the debrisfor <br />collection. <br />7. Report damages that occur during collections to AshBritt hotline, 555-555-5555. <br />8. We will use a combination of local mass-media <br />outlets. We will collaborate with (County/City/Town/Jurisdiciton) representatives and draw on their local expertise for advice <br />on the most effective communication vehicles. This planning will occur during our pre-planning and preparations stages in the <br />off-season. <br /> <br />In addition to these outlets, other notices may be disseminated and posted at pivotal locations throughout the <br />(County/City/Town/Jurisdiciton). Following are some samples of bulletins and notices that may be modified, posted and <br />disseminated during or before recovery efforts. <br /> <br />We also recommend the establishment an information hotline with a brief recording of the aforementioned information and/or <br />other recovery information.
