I Business Background & Experience I O'crowder Disaster Recovery specializes in disaster recovery and debris management services. Crowder uses our disaster expertise, combined with experience gained working as a local general contractor in Tallahassee, Florida, to aid our clients in any disaster recovery and debris management services they may require. Jimmie Crowder Excavating and Land Clearing, Inc. was founded in 1973 with one employee, one dump truck, and one front end loader. The focus of the fledgling company was primarily lot clearing and tree removal. Since then the company has diversified and grown dramatically. A fact contrasting with Crowder's humble beginnings, the company now specializes in all phases Disaster Recovery as well as excavation, site work, and underground utility work. It was because of this capability to expand, combined with ample resources and financial stability, that the principal's interest in disaster recovery and debris management found its outlet as half partner with Gulf Equipment Corporation in the Crowder-Gulf joint venture. Our experience created a team of extraordinarily qualified supervisors and project managers, ready to perform any services required of a debris contract. Crowder has successfully completed numerous jobs and experienced a variety of events with differing circumstances and magnitudes. In many instances we have managed concurrent disaster recovery projects, at times running over a dozen jobs simultaneously. We provided disaster recovery services in Hurricanes Andrew, Charley, Dennis, Floyd, Fran, Hugo, Isabel, Ivan, Jeanne, Katrina, Opal, and Rita, just to name a few. OIn addition to the company's disaster recovery and debris management efforts, Jimmie Crowder Excavating and Land Clearing, Inc. maintains an extremely diverse operation (for copies of our various licenses, please see Business Licenses Section). We operate three offices: one in Thomasville, Georgia, one in Carrabelle, Florida, and one in Tallahassee, Florida. A large part of the company is involved in excavating and clearing for commercial properties in both North Florida and South Georgia. Crowder regularly contracts for large commercial jobs, and fulfills its obligations competently and proficiently. Crowder has completed over two hundred contractual jobs in the Tallahassee region, working primarily in excavation and site- development. Forming relationships with both commercial construction companies and government entities, Crowder has proven our ability to fulfill and satisfy its contractual obligations to the fullest extent of our clients' expectations.
