<br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF PROPOSAL: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the "City") a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, <br />Florida, requests qualified Proposers ['Proposers") to submit proposals for the design, fabrication, <br />and installation of a canopy structure with easy-removable stage lighting connected to existing <br />electrical panels to be installed at Heritage Park (19200 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach <br />Florida). <br /> <br />2.2 PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE: <br /> <br />A pre-proposal conference will be held at Sunny Isles Beach Government Center 18070 Collins <br />Avenue Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160; 1st Floor Meeting Room to discuss the special conditions <br />and specifications included within this solicitation. <br /> <br />· Proposer must coordinate with the current project general contractor for a two day <br />window of opportunity for a field assessment. The two days will be limited to April 27, <br />2011 and April 28, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. <br />· If these dates are insufficient, it will be the proposer's responsibility to coordinate with <br />the site superintendent from Coastal for other dates and times. Please note that the City <br />has requested that Coastal finish the current project and avoid delays. Time availability <br />is limited. <br /> <br />Proposers are requested to bring this solicitation document to the conference, as additional <br />copies may not be available. <br /> <br />2.3 TERM <br /> <br />This contract shall commence upon the date of the Notice to PROCEED and shall remain in effect <br />until such time as the commodities, equipment and/or services acquired in conjunction with this <br />Request for Proposal have been completed and accepted by the City's authorized representative <br />and upon completion of the expressed and/or implied warranty periods. The proposer shall <br />include the time necessary to complete this turn-key project from concept to final close-out. <br /> <br />2.4 OPTIONS TO RENEW <br /> <br />Intentionally Omitted <br /> <br />2.5 PRICE <br /> <br />If the proposer is awarded a contract under this solicitation, the prices proposed by the proposer <br />shall remain fixed and firm during the term of contract and shall be inclusive of all necessary <br />tasks and services to provide the City with a 100% acceptable product. <br /> <br />2.6 PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach shall require the successful Proposer to furnish a Performance and <br />Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total Proposal Price, with the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach as the Obligee, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract and for the <br /> <br />PAGE 17 OF 34 <br />BID No. 11-04-02 <br />
