Section 3 <br />Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br />3.1 PURPOSE <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to establish a contract to provide all labor, <br />equipment and materials to clean and jet approximately 448 storm water catch basins <br />and /or storm sewer manholes with approximately 26,400 linear feet of pipe cleaning <br />within a one (1) year period throughout the city limits of Sunny Isles Beach. The disposal <br />of the debris shall be at a location approved by the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />3.2 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF WORK <br />If property (public or private) is damaged performing work specified or is removed for <br />the convenience of the work, it shall be repaired or replaced at the expense of the Bidder <br />in a manner acceptable to the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Such property shall include but <br />not limited to: roads, sidewalks, curbs, driveways, walls, fences, water features, <br />footings, underground utilities, sod shrubs, trees, etc. <br />3.2.1 Bidder shall notify the Public Works Department in writing of the site having pre- <br />existing damage to sidewalks, pavers, curbs, roadways, swales, adjacent <br />improvements, etc., before beginning work. Failure to do so shall obligate the <br />Bidder to make repairs per section 3.2 <br />3.3 TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />3.4 <br />Conduct maintenance to ensure minimum interference with traffic, facility, road, street, <br />walks, and other adjacent occupied or used facilities. Two -way traffic shall be <br />maintained at all times unless prior approval from the City is obtained. Bidder shall <br />provide maintenance /movement of traffic around job site. <br />Bidder shall be solely responsible for pedestrian and vehicular safety and control within <br />the work site and shall provide the necessary warning devices, barricades, cones properly <br />placed and ground personnel needed to give safety, protection and warning to persons <br />and vehicular traffic within the area. <br />3.4.1 Bidder must provide protection necessary to prevent damage to property where <br />maintenance is being performed and /or damage to adjoining properties. <br />3.4.2 Restore any damage to property to its original condition, at Bidder's expense, as <br />acceptable to the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />3.5 HOURS OF WORK <br />Bidder shall perform work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />3.6 EMPLOYEES <br />Bidder shall be responsible for the appearance of all working personnel assigned to the <br />PAGE 21 OF 28 <br />BID No. 11 -01 -01 <br />
