<br />Protecting county employees, including commISSIOners from unwarranted <br />approach from homeless individuals, <br />Preparing the opening of doors for county commission meetings. <br />Assisting the Election Department during elections season through the year. <br />Providing referral services support to the public entering the county facility. <br />Performing the tour (electronically) of floors (31) two times within a shift. <br />Controlling crowd during demonstrations at the County facilities. <br />Responding to calls from the General Services Administration, Security Operation <br />Center at various times in connection with vagrants and or safety issue. <br />Patrolling all other County facilities, such as the water plant, county cultural <br />facilities and Libraries located in Downtown. <br />Provide Escorts for County Commissioners and employees <br />Assisted building managers during incidents inside the buildings. <br />o Assigned as Field Supervisor responsible for officers posted at over ten Miami-Dade <br />County buildings in downtown Miami. Meet with county buildings managers to <br />discuss incidents and security related issues affecting the county facilities. <br /> <br />Commendations <br /> <br />Received from County Employees and County Security Inspectors. <br /> <br />o In 1996, commended by GSA Security Inspectors for initiatives in handling problem <br />employees and public individuals. <br />o In 1998, commendation was received from another GSA Security Inspector, for my role <br />during emergencies (alarms, machine malfunctions etc.) at the 140 West Flagler <br />Building. <br />o Received commendation likewise from most clients that had security service contract <br />with most of the companies I have worked with, <br />Education <br /> <br />Obtained a GED Certificate in 2000 at Lindsey Hopkins Technical Institute, <br />Miami, and also currently enrolled in classes at Miami-Dade College towards <br />a AA degree in Pharmacy. I have so far completed over 30 hours of course <br />credit towards my AA degree in Civil Engineering. <br /> <br />Professional Certificates: <br /> <br />"D" & "G" License professional school crossing guard in the State of Florida, <br />and MB License.
