<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - /11 5 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID NO. 11-04-01 <br />TO AND ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH SHORTY'S <br />BAR-B-Q FOR CATERING SERVICES FOR THE CITY'S ANNUAL <br />ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED THIRTY THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY -FIVE <br />DOLLARS ($30,555.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUION; PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to celebrate the City's anniversaries with <br />an annual event to be held in the month of June; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of a Caterer to provide catering services for its annual City <br />Anniversary celebrations, and issued and advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 11-04-01, for <br />Catering Services for the annual anniversary celebration, for which two responses were received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Shorty's Bar-B-Q is willing and able to perform concessionaire services, and is <br />experienced in serving a large number of guests efficiently and with good customer service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an Agreement with Shorty's Bar-B-Q, in an <br />amount not to exceed Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Five Dollars ($30,555.00), attached hereto <br />as Exhibit "A", for the provision of catering services at the City's 14th anniversary celebration on <br />Sunday, June 19,2011. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The recitals set forth in this resolution are incorporated <br />herein by reference as if fully set forth herein. <br /> <br />Section 2. Award of Bid and Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby awards Bid <br />No. 11-04-01 to and enters into an agreement with Shorty's Bar-B-Q for Catering Services for the <br />City's Annual Anniversary Celebrations, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Authorization ofMavor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 4. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 5. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
