REASONS: The existing service agreement with Otis Elevator is for the maintenance of the four (4) elevators located at the Government Center (3) and Pelican Community Park (1). Two (2) additional elevators require maintenance beginning on 4/12/2012 (upon warranty expiration) at the Heritage Park parking garage. The inclusion of the two new elevators into the current agreement would allow the City to obtain a savings of $271.75/month beginning on 6/1/2011. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: On September 21, 2006, the City Commission approved Resolution No. 2006-980 ratifying a service agreement with Otis Elevator Company for the maintenance of three (3) hydraulic elevators. The first addendum to the service agreement included the elevator at the Pelican Community Park and was adopted via Resolution 2009-1408. The agreement automatically renewed for five years; however, the City negotiated the monthly fees to be reduced from $1, 156.75/month to $885.00/month for the existing four (4) elevators if the City agreed to add the two new elevators to the agreement effective 6/1/2011. An additional $540.00/month will be added once the two (2) elevators at the Heritage Park parking garage are placed on the maintenance list beginning on 4/1/2012. ATTACHMENTS: . Resolution .
