Inc. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Commission approve award of bid to Namin Construction Co. Inc. for the construction of <br />the Bella Vista Bay Park Improvements in an amount not to exceed $375,807.00 (base <br />bid: $362,900.00 plus alternative 1: $12,907.00). <br />REASONS: <br />The City requested site improvements to Bella Vista Bay Park to allow for kayak <br />launches. As a result, staff issued RFP 11 -05 -01 on May 5, 2011 and received five (5) <br />proposals. Upon review of all proposals, Namin Construction Co. Inc. is being <br />recommended for award in an amount not to exceed $375,807.00. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The total amount of the vendor's base bid is $362,900.00 with a proposed 10 week <br />construction schedule from notice to proceed. The vendor also included an alternative <br />price for composite decking (in lieu of pressure treated wood decking) at the pavilion for <br />$12,907.00 over base bid.
