<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - ,,2 \ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH CAL VIN, GIORDANO AND <br />ASSOCIATES, INC., TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE NEWPORT FISHING <br />PIER PROJECT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br />THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND NINETY DOLLARS AND <br />SEVENTY-FIVE CENTS ($33,090.75), ATTACHED HERETO <br />AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of professional engineering services for civil engineering <br />coordination between the architect of record and existing utilities for the Newport Fishing Pier <br />Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to the City's Request for Qualifications No. 10-04-01 and <br />Resolution No. 2010-1583, the City qualified and ranked Calvin Giordano and Associates, Inc. for <br />the purpose of providing on-call general engineering services for various projects that may arise <br />throughout the 2010-2011 fiscal year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to the City's Request for Qualifications No. 10-04-02 and <br />Resolution No. 2010-1584, the City further qualified and ranked Calvin, Giordano and Associates, <br />Inc. for the purpose of providing on-call general architectural services for various projects that may <br />arise throughout the 2010-2011 fiscal year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City now wishes to authorize Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc., to <br />provide professional engineering services for civil engineering coordination between the architect of <br />record and existing utilities for the Newport Fishing Pier Project, in an amount not to exceed Thirty- <br />Three Thousand Ninety Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($33,090.75), attached hereto as Exhibit <br />"A". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The Agreement with Calvin, Giordano and Associates, Inc. <br />to provide professional engineering services for the Newport Fishing Pier Project, in an amount not <br />to exceed Thirty-Three Thousand Ninety Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($33,090.75), attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Authorization ofMavor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement. <br />
