<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011- \1'?J2- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE FIRST <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH BUILDNET <br />CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION <br />OF ADDITIONAL SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS IN HERITAGE <br />PARK, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTEEN <br />THOUSAND EIGHTEEN DOLLARS ($17,018.00), ATTACHED <br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE SAID FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 21, 2011 via Resolution 2011-1706, the City Commission <br />approved an Agreement with Buildnet Corporation to supply and install a thirty-two (32) camera <br />and DVR system in the Heritage Park and Parking Garage in an amount not to exceed Eighteen <br />Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($18,760.00), along with an additional Six Thousand <br />Two Hundred Forty Dollars ($6,240.00) contingency to include conduits to provide the service <br />to the basketball courts, for a total amount not to exceed Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars <br />($25,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is now in need of additional surveillance cameras over-looking the <br />north Park area, the rear section, and the kids play area in Heritage Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Buildnet Corporation has expressed the ability and desire to provide these <br />services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Buildnet Corporation submitted a proposal to the City to supply and install <br />additional surveillance cameras in Heritage Park, in an amount not to exceed Twenty-Three <br />Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Eight Dollars ($23,258.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to approve the First Amendment to Agreement with <br />Buildnet Corporation for these services in an amount not to exceed Twenty-Three Thousand Two <br />Hundred Fifty-Eight Dollars ($23,258.00), less the additional $6,240.00 contingency approved on <br />April 21, 2011, bringing the amount to Seventeen Thousand Eighteen Dollars ($17,018.00), <br />bringing the total amount of the Agreement to Forty- Two Thousand Eighteen Dollars <br />($42,018.00). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of First Amendment to Agreement.
