Vera, Assistant City Manager/Service <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />6/15/2011 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />First Amendment to Agreement with Buildnet Corporation for the <br />purchase and installation of additional surveillance cameras in Heritage <br />Park. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDA TION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of Buildnet Corporation to provide and install additional security <br />cameras in Heritage Park and parking garage. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City solicited quotes from four separate companies to provide and install security cameras <br />for the Heritage Park and parking garage. At the May 19, 2011 City Commission meeting <br />Buildnet Corporation was awarded the contract to provide the purchase and installation of <br />cameras to be installed throughout the Park and parking garage. Buildnet was the lowest quote <br />received in the amount not to exceed $25,000.00. <br /> <br />After a review of the plans by staff and the Police Department showing the location of the <br />cameras, it was decided that additional cameras need to be located. This resolution is <br />requesting an additional $17,018.00 for the additional cameras. The new total contract amount <br />with Buildnet Corporation for the purchase and installation of the cameras for Heritage Park <br />and parking garage is for an amount not to exceed $42,018.00. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />Funding for this project is being provided from the Police Forfeiture Fund. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />.
