We petition for a 40 children capacity four (4) years of age and under. The number of children requested is based on square footage per child ratio established by Florida Department of Children and Fanulies. Total square feet, of the indoor facility is 1633sq.ft, and usable indoors fioor space available for indoor play, classroom, and work area is 1,431sq. Tlus number meets the minimum of 35 square feet of usable indoor fioor space for each child. This usable floor space does not include badl facilities, toilets, kitchens and storage. Our business operation will be aligned to Florida Department of Children and Families regulation, as well as Local Ordinances for child-care facilities. The property has direct access to the back door garden. \Ve petition for permit to fence backyard garden and use it as outdoor play area, approximate size of dIe backyard is 1,200 sq. fL (which meets the requirement for outdoor playarea-45 sq. ft. per half child ratio for outdoor play area by the Department of Children and Families). We will provide a safe and healthy envirolllnent under qualified supervision and maintain sufficient indoor floor space for playing, working and napping. SUImy Isles Daycare is a business that has become necessary in today's fast-paced world. There are an increasing amount of families who become dependent on two incomes, which has created the necessity of the Child Care induslry here in SUImy Isles Beach. hldeed, it has. Today, there is no business or facility in dIe area that provides daycare services to Sunny Isles residents. There are several points we want to emphasize in relation to the benefit" of a daycare facility in Sunny Isles Beach. First, there are many working parents cun:endy forced to take their children to out-of-city daycare facilities or to use babysitting services; neither of these options benefit the city laX collection. Our local facility and business will contribute to city financial wellness and positively impact its residents. The city would also benefit from added value to real state property. For many home buyers and renters it is important to have daycare in their community. Research suggest dIat families whose child care needs are met locally, are slronger families, have better quality of life and do better financially.
