c

Florida League of Cities, Inc., Department of Insurance and Financial Services
125 East Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32801
Main, 407-425-9142 Toll Free, 1-800-445-6248 Fax, 407-425-9378
www.f1cities.com/lnsuronce

DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE
AND FINANCIAL SERVICES

()

c

APPROACH/METHODOLOGY

. The Florida League of Cities administers the Florida Municipal Insur-
ance Trust and is the program of choice for approximately 60% of the
municipalities in Florida.

. The FMIT is governed by elected officials and solely serves public
sector clients. We are headquartered in Orlando, Florida and employ
over 100 people. The Trust maintains superior financial stability with
over $420 million in total assets and $225 million in surplus. We were
the first Trust to begin operations in Florida in 1977. We are the larg-
est Trust operating in Florida in the public sector.

. The FMIT's policy forms are customized based on the needs of our
member municipalities and offer coverages that can not be obtained in
the commercial marketplace. The FMIT directly administers and set-
tles claims.

. In addition, the FMIT has developed a comprehensive Disaster Recov-
ery Program through its exclusive partnership with SimpliCity and
TurnKey Recovery service. These programs assist a City with better
preparation before and event and establish a complete customized re-
covery plan with the City to expedite your recovery time and to im-
prove cash flow by directing paying pre-approved vendors.

. The FMIT, being familiar with municipal needs and demands is fully
prepared to meet all desired deadlines and time lines.

. The FMIT offers various deductible and/or Self Insured Retention op-
tions that vary with each municipality, their claims history and risk tol-
erance. We meet individually with each risk to determine the best
value and best risk appetite fit for these options. We would look for-
ward to reviewing each option with your City.
