Oversight of project final completion, punchlisting and close out URS recognizes that the nature of the projects are such that only part-time services on-site may be all that is required of URS during the construction phase of the project. Inspections will be performed on a pre- scheduled periodic basis and at critical hold points prior to concrete pours and/or other construction activities which may render inspection of a particular component impossible to perform. Our PM will call upon specialized engineering technical support members at any given time during the final design, construction bid phase or oversight process to overview the analysis and technical recommendations provided by other project design consultants. URS is also known as a top tier provider of full services engineering, project management and construction administration services for the South Florida Water Management District and we are currently providing engineering design and construction management/engineering during construction services on several active projects related to everglades restoration work in South Florida. Successful construction projects don't just happen; they require a positive, forward thinking proactive management team and a partnering mentality with all project participants. URS has the maturity of staff and experience to establish a cooperative teamwork approach to any project. Formally or informally, we will create a partnering atmosphere, encourage open discussion settlement of contract issues at the lowest possible level, and seek the least cost on all monetary issues. URS' construction services approach will be to take a proactive role in any assigned project. While serving as the City's consultant during this project, the ultimate goal of our services will be to verify that the project is constructed in conformity with the plans, specifications and contract provisions - on time and - on budget. The following list of CM Projects presented in this RFP are a compendium of selected examples of the bridge and facilities construction projects - some with significant environmental permitting challenges - which demonstrate the broad range of construction services URS is capable of providing to the City in support of this RFP. 2-5 I ~3 g E URS
