An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Section 68-2 (A) of the City Code to Provide Reimbursement for Mileage in Accordance <br />with Rates Established by the Internal Revenue Service; Providing for Severability and <br />Repealer; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Cohen reported that currently the <br />City Code has us using the Florida rates which have not changed since 2006, and the IRS <br />changes their rate annually and sometimes mid-year to reflect changes in the fuel prices. It <br />would be much fairer for our employees if we relied on the IRS numbers. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Commissioner Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br />proposed ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of 5- <br />o in favor.
