RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - \., 5~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL SIGNAGE FROM GRAPHPLEX SIGNS FOR THE BEACH AREA, MUNICIPAL PARKING AREA, AND REPLACEMENT OF OLD SIGNAGE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $33,475.00, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A", UNDER THE CITY OF WESTON RFP NO. 2009-03; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is required to replace logos at specific signs and to repair and install new signs throughout the public beach areas and parking lots; and WHEREAS, staff wishes to purchase the additional signage from GraphPlex Signs under the City of Weston RFP No. 2009-03; and WHEREAS, GraphPlex Signs has provided the City with quotes for the signage, and the City wishes to purchase the additional signage for the beach area, municipal parking area, and to replace old signage, in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Three Thousand Four Hundred Seventy- Fi ve Dollars ($33,475.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorizing the Purchase of Signage. The City Commissioner hereby authorizes the purchase of additional signage from GraphPlex Signs for the beach area, municipal parking area and replacement of old signage, in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Three Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($33,475.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Section 2 Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
