<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT FROM HOME <br />DEPOT FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, IN AN <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY -NINE THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($39,000.00) ANNUALLY, PIGGYBACKING THE <br />CONTRACT BETWEEN MARICOPA COUNTY AND HOME <br />DEPOT THROUGH RFP NO. 11019; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach Public Works Department currently <br />purchases supplies and equipment for repair and maintenance of City owned facilities, many of <br />which are purchased from Home Depot; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff will utilize the contract between Maricopa County and Home Depot <br />through RFP No. 11019 which offers a special pricing program for qualifying purchases with an <br />annual volume rebate structure; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Code Section 62-13(C) provides the authority to access a <br />competitively solicited contract from any other governmental organization; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to authorize the purchases from Home Depot for supplies <br />and equipment, in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00) annually. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Agreements. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase of <br />supplies and equipment from Home Depot for the Public Works Department, in an amount not to <br />exceed Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($39,000.00) annually. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of October 2011. <br /> <br /> <br />Nj man S.
