<br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF PROPOSAL: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the "City") a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, <br />Florida, requests qualified Proposers to submit proposals for Design, Permitting, Fabrication, and <br />Installation of an Aluminum Security Barrier at Heritage Parking Garage Top Floor as provided for <br />in the contract documents. <br /> <br />2.2 MANDATORY SITE VISIT: <br /> <br />A Mandatory Site Visit will be held at (10/27/2011) on the first floor of the Heritage Park Parking <br />Garage Located at 19250 Collins Avenue Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160; discuss the special <br />conditions and specifications included within this solicitation. <br /> <br />Proposers are requested to bring this solicitation document to the conference, as additional <br />copies will not be available. <br /> <br />2.3 TERM <br /> <br />This contract will commence on issuance of notice to proceed from the City Manager, or <br />designee, unless otherwise stipulated in the Notice of Award letter, which is distributed by the <br />City's Purchasing Agent; and contingent upon the completion and submittal of all required <br />proposal documents. <br /> <br />2.4 OPTIONS TO RENEW <br /> <br />Prior to, or upon completion, of that initial term, the City shall have the option at its sole <br />discretion to renew this contract for an additional four (4) one year renewals. <br /> <br />2.5 PRICE <br /> <br />If the Proposer is awarded a contract under this solicitation, the prices proposed by the proposer <br />shall remain fixed and firm during the term of contract. <br /> <br />2.6 PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach shall require the successful Proposer to furnish a Performance and <br />Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total Proposal Price, with the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach as the Obligee, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract and for the <br />payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection herewith within ten <br />(10) calendar days after notification of the award by the City. The bonds shall be with a surety <br />company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. <br /> <br />2.7 BID BOND <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach shall require that every Proposer furnish a Bid Bond in the amount <br />of 5% of the total Proposal Price. <br /> <br />2.8 DELIVERY <br /> <br />Intentionally Omitted. <br /> <br />PAGE 12 OF 28 <br />BID No. 11-01-01 <br />
