<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting December 12. 2002 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach. Florida <br /> <br />Action: Mayor Samson reported that there were two proposed additions to the agenda, <br />Item 5B, (introduction of new Police Officers), and add-on Resolution Item 9H, with a <br />request that it be heard in conjunction with Item 9D. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Edelcup moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to revise the <br />agenda accordingly. The motion was approved by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />5. SPECIAL PRESENT A TIONS <br /> <br />SA. City of Sunny Isles Beach Employee Recognition for Five Years of Service. <br />Action: Mayor Samson presented City Attorney Lynn Dannheisser and City Clerk <br />Richard Brown-Morilla with plaques in recognition of their five years of dedicated <br />service to the City of Sunny Isles Beach (1997-2002). <br /> <br />58. Add-On: Introduction of New Police Officers. <br />Action: Chief Fred Maas introduced Police Officers Javier Estevez and Josh Newton. <br />Mayor Samson and the Commission welcomed them both. <br /> <br />6. ZONING: ZONING HEARINGS ARE QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> <br />6A. Request of Slavco Zehtinski and Rumiana Grozdanova, Owner of the Property <br />Located at 220 - 186th Street, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, for the Following: <br />[Hearing #Z2002-06] <br /> <br />1. Non-Use Variance of Setback Requirements to permit an existing terrace addition <br />to a single-family residence to setback 1.5 feet from the interior (west) property line <br />(7.5 feet required). <br /> <br />2. Non-Use Variance of Setback Requirements to permit an existing utility shed to <br />setback 1.1 feet from the interior (west) property line (7.5 feet required) and to <br />setback 0.8 feet from the rear (south) property line (5 feet required). <br /> <br />3.
