<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting <br /> <br />July 8, 2004 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Rorida <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin moved and Commissioner Thaler seconded a motion to approve <br />the resolution, as amended. Resolution No. 2004-688 was adopted by a voice vote of <br />5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />10E. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br />Approving an Agreement by and between the City of Sunny Isles Beach and Calvin <br />Giordano & Associations, Inc., to Provide Land Surveying, Engineering Design, <br />and Construction Inspection Services for an Underground Drainage System for <br />Margolis Park, Located between Northeast 178th Drive and North Bay Road, in an <br />Amount Not to Exceed $55,251.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the <br />Mayor to Execute Said Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager to do All Things <br />Necessary to Effectuate the Terms of this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and City Manager Russo reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Iglesias felt that this fee was high. City Manager Russo said he did <br />negotiate down on the surveying and some other things because we did find some partial <br />surveying information done by Nova Engineering and BH&A that helped offset it a little. <br />Commissioner Iglesias said that it could be knocked down a couple of thousand. City <br />Manage Russo said he would set this as the max and asked Shelley Eichner if she could <br />relay this to the office. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Goodman moved and Commissioner Brezin seconded a motion to approve <br />the resolution. Resolution No. 2004-689 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> <br />lOF. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br />Authorizing the City Manager to Pay Costs in the Aggregate Amount of $3,965.89; <br />Further Providing the City Manager with the Authority, if Necessary, to Place in an <br />Escrow Account or Deposit into the Registry of the Circuit Court the Sum of <br />$154,452.50 for Attorney's and Appraiser's Fees; Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(18100 Collins Avenue Shopping Center, Ltd. et al) <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and City Attorney Dannheisser reported, noting <br />that she revised this Resolution by requesting the Commission's approval for items 3-6 to <br />be paid as reasonable costs and that they will be negotiating the balance of these <br />numbers. <br /> <br />9 <br />
