An Ordinance of the City Commission ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Section 267.2(B) of the Code of Sunny Isles Beach, Adopting a Revised Fee Schedule for <br />Planning and Zoning Services Attached as Exhibit "A"; Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(First Reading 01/19/06) <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and City Attorney Ottinot noted that this report was <br />read into the record at first reading. An Ordinance ofthe City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Mandating <br />that Gas Stations Within the City of Sunny Isles Beach have Adequate Alternate <br />Energy Sources Including Emergency Generators to Operate Gas Pumps in Case of <br />Emergency; Providing for Penalties; Providing for Severability; Providing for Repealer; <br />Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(First Reading 01/19/06) <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Commissioner Thaler reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: Jad Shor <br /> <br />Jad Shor asked about adding to it the supermarkets. Mayor Edelcup said that he was going to <br />add that but will do a separate Ordinance. He said that they will be instructing staff to do a <br />separate Ordinance to cover food stores and pharmacies/drug stores as another Ordinance we <br />need for hurricane protection. He said in addition he would also like to instruct staff to study <br />the possibility of an Ordinance requiring high-rise condos to have emergency generators that <br />will provide at least one elevator working at all times. He said he wants two separate <br />Ordinances and City Attorney Ottinot asked if he wanted them to be presented at the March <br />16, 2006 City Commission meeting and Mayor Edelcup said as soon as possible. <br /> <br />9 <br />
