An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Sections 256-12, 256-14, 256-17 of the Vehicles and Traffic Code to Establish New <br />Parking Rates for Residential Parking Areas and to Permit Parking on a 24-Hour <br />Basis; Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an <br />Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: [City Clerk's Note: A revised memorandum and a map were distributed prior to the <br />meeting.} City Clerk Hines read the title, and Community Development Director Robert <br />Solera reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Mayor Ede1cup said he would like the resident parking permit fee of$75 a month be reduced <br />to $50, as he feels it is too high for on-street parking at this time, and the Commission agreed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve the <br />proposed ordinance on first reading, as amended. The motion was approved by a roll <br />call vote of 5-0 in favor. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Section 62-7, 62-8 and 62-15 of the City Code Relating to Contract Award and Protest <br />Procedures; Providing for Repealer; Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the <br />Code; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attorney Ottinot reported noting that this <br />ordinance is for clarification purposes. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Commissioner Brezin seconded a motion to approve the <br />proposed ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of 5-0 <br />in favor.
