<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting February 21, 2008 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />· Personnel Policy Manual: Mayor Edelcup asked about getting this Manual for employees <br />before the Commission for approval, and City Manager Szerlag said it will be placed on the <br />March 20, 2008 agenda. He said he asked Human Resources Director Tom Acquaro to put <br />it in three sections for the ease of the Commission as the document is so voluminous. He <br />said the first section pertains to the economic impact of the policies, vacation pay, sick pay, <br />etc.; the second section pertains to benefits; and the third section pertains essentially to the <br />operation of the personnel function. City Manager Szerlag said he will have it distributed to <br />the Commission next week. <br /> <br />· Change Starting Time of Citv Commission Meetings to 6:30 p.m.: Mayor Edelcup said <br />these meetings are running somewhat late, and he asked the Commission to consider <br />starting these meetings an hour earlier at 6:30 p.m., the primary reason we were starting at <br />7:30 p.m. was because Commissioner Iglesias was working for FDOT and it was hard for <br />him to be here before 7:30 p.m. He said to leave the March meeting at 7:30 p.m., and begin <br />an hour earlier beginning in April. <br /> <br />13.
