They are going to <br />have the larger units as he had indicated, and they are going to reduce the height in the Sunny <br />Isles Boulevard District closest to Collins Avenue significantly, from 200 feet down to 140 <br />feet, closest to AlA. What does this do for us, it gives architects working for developers that <br />are interested in Sunny Isles Beach added flexibility without increasing the density in the <br />City by one unit. Gil Dezer and Warren Stamm, Esq. said they also support this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Edelcup said that he would hope that the Federal Government learns what stimulus is <br />all about, and that the City of Sunny Isles Beach was not waiting for the Federal Government <br />to create a stimulus program to bring jobs to South Florida. Hopefully other cities will <br />emulate some ofthe positive steps that we are taking to bring construction back to this State. <br /> <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Commissioner Aelion seconded a motion to approve the <br />proposed ordinance on first reading, as amended. The motion was approved by a roll <br />call vote of 5-0 in favor.
