Preview <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br /> <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />The Honorable Mayor and City Commission <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Giovanni Batista, Public Works Director <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />12/15/2011 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Conveyance of sewer facilities from the City to Miami Dade County <br />installed for Gwen Margolis Park <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Commission approve the Miami Dade County Water and <br />Sewer conveyance documents for the sewer improvements constructed as part of the <br />Central Island Roadway and Drainage Improvement Project via approved Resolution <br />2008-1221. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The City, through Southeastern Engineering Contractors, Inc. constructed a sewer facility <br />(i.e. sewer lateral connection) in the public right of way along North Bay Road adjacent <br />to the Gwen Margolis Park. The sewer connection was made for the beneficial use of the <br />park restrooms.
