The data is sent to the
solution's software component, where longitude and latitude coordinates are resolved into
addresses and all the information is collected, mapped, reported, exchanged, or exported to a
convenient web interface or third party program.
Vehicle GPS location records are transmitted from the vehicle to the WebTech servers. Record
generation and frequency is highly configurable in order to meet the specific needs of the fleet
and to meet budgetary requirements.
• Records can be generated every 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 15 minutes or it
can be based on distance rather than time. For example, the vehicle could generate a
location record every 100 meters of travel or every 10 seconds. Records are
automatically generated on any change of event, ie. Lights and Sirens activated.
• Another option for record generation is turn -by -turn reporting - the creation of records
when the vehicle turns a corner.
• Locator also support Geofences - virtual boundaries that send records to the WebTech
solution interface and to a dispatcher's email or cell phone for immediate notification
whenever the pre- defined boundary is crossed.
• Different fleet and vehicle types can have varying reporting configurations, i.e.
Emergency Response Fleets reporting every 5 seconds, while Utility vehicles report
every one minute or on change of event.
Standard WebTech Locator Features
Below is an overview of the standard features offered by the WebTech Locator:
• GPS antenna with an accuracy of ten meters for WT5000 and WT6000 Locators series,
and a sub three meter accuracy for WT7000E Locators and WTMDU 95% of the time
with WAAS /SBAS present
• WT5000, WT6000, and WT7000 series offer GPS antenna disconnect notification
• GPRS quad -band cellular modem
• Industry standard cellular data rates for GPRS (General Packet Radio Service)
communication - typically 40 KB /sec downloading (receiving information) and 10 KB /sec
uploading (sending information)
• Dual -mode Iridium satellite compatibility for areas with low or no cellular connectivity
• LED lights to show status of Power, GPS fix and SIM card connection to the cellular
network
• Firmware upgrades or configuration changes can be done over - the -air (OTA)
• Robust operating and storage temperature ranges
• Up to 2000 records stored
PROPRIETARY & CONFIDENTIAL: This document contains information that is proprietary to InterFleet Inc.
