<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Proposal No. 17-02-01 10 <br /> <br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF BID: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the “City”) a municipality located in Miami -Dade County, <br />Florida, seeks to establish a contract with a qualified caterer to provide food and beverages catering <br />services for the City’s anniversary. In conjunction with the City's needs on an as needed basis, in <br />full accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Request for <br />Proposals (RFP). To be eligible for award of a contract in resp onse to this solicitation, the caterer <br />must demonstrate that they have successfully completed services, as specified in the Technical <br />Specifications / Scope of Services section of this solicitation, are normally and routinely engaged in <br />performing such services, and are properly and legally licensed to perform such work. All activities <br />of the caterer must comply with all applicable provisions of health, safety, sanitation, fire, and <br />building codes. <br /> <br />2.2 PRE-BID CONFERENCE <br /> <br />Intentionally Omitted <br /> <br />2.3 TERM OF CONTRACT <br /> <br />This contract will commence upon execution by both parties which shall be the effective date <br />succeeding approval of the contract by the City Commission, or designee, unless otherwise <br />stipulated in the Notice of Award letter. The contract shall be contingent upon the completion and <br />submittal of all required documents. This contract shall remain in effect until the completion of <br />services, provided that the services rendered by Firm during the contract period are satisfactory <br />and that City funding is available as appropriated on an annual basis. However, in the event funding <br />is not appropriated on an annual basis during any particular year within the contract period, the <br />contract may be canceled upon thirty (30) days written notice to Firm. In suc h an event, the City <br />shall only be responsible for the reasonable value of services performed prior to the effective date <br />of termination. <br /> <br />2.4 OPTIONS TO RENEW <br /> <br />Prior to, or upon completion, of the first initial one (1) year term, the City shall have the option at <br />its sole discretion to renew this contract for an additional four (4) one-year renewals. The <br />contractor agrees not to assign or transfer the contract, or any portion thereof, without written <br />approval of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> <br />2.5 METHOD OF AWARD <br /> <br /> See section 4 of this solicitation <br /> <br /> <br />
