<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Proposal No. 17-02-01 15 <br /> <br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br /> <br />3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for the purchase of food and <br />beverages catering services for the City’s anniversary party. The vendor will be responsible <br />for supplying all food and beverages, including, but not limited to, all food area needs <br />(ice, condiments, tables for prepping and serving, storage, garbage management) all <br />cooking supplies, grills, cookers, chaffing dishes, pans), all serving supplies (Forks, knifes, <br />spoons, plates, cups, gloves, napkins) and all labor services, including staff. <br /> <br />3.2 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - The following minimum requirements will be considered in <br />the review of each bidder’s responsiveness. Failure to meet or exceed minimum <br />requirements will disqualify bidder from consideration. <br /> <br />1. Similar Experience. The proposer must be regularly engaged in food service including, <br />but not limited to restaurants, catering companies, or other similar food industry <br />businesses. Proposer shall demonstrate previous experience in regards to the <br />requirements of this solicitation for a period of no less than five (5) years. <br /> <br />2. Proposer’s References. Bidders are to include a minimum of three (3) references from <br />contractors or projects the Bidder considers of a similar, size, scope and complexity. The <br />attached form found in Section 6 is to be used and included with the Bid submission. <br /> <br />3. State and Local Health Requirements. All Caterers’ employees engaged in the preparing, <br />handling, serving and storing of food, must meet and maintain State and Local Health <br />Department requirements, including certification(s) to serve food to the public at <br />temporary events. The Caterer shall sell only foods that comply with all applicable federal, <br />state and local laws, acts, orders, or regulations including, without limitation on the <br />generality of the foregoing, the applicable sections of the following laws, acts and <br />regulations: <br />i. The Food and Drug Act <br />ii. Applicable Meat Inspection Regulations <br />iii. The Humane Slaughter of Animals Act and Humane Slaughter Regulations <br />iv. The Official Methods of Analysis and Association of Official Analytical Chemist <br />v. The Federal Department of Agriculture-Products Regulations <br />vi. The Fish Inspection Act and Regulations <br />vii. Meat and Canned Foods Act <br />viii. Fresh and Processed Fruit and Vegetable Regulations <br />ix. The U.S. Grain Act and Grain Regulations <br />
