Qualifications <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for <br />Traffic Engineering services for the completion of 100% Construction plans for a <br />driveway cut off of Collins Avenue (SR AIA) south of 183rd Street into a privately <br />i <br />owned commercial property. <br />Consulting Engineering & Science, Inc. (CES) has grown to become a leading <br />consulting engineering and environmental firm, serving clients throughout Florida, <br />the southeastern United States and the Caribbean. Our in -house expertise covers a <br />broad spectrum of professional services encompassing, civil, coastal, structural and <br />environmental engineering including environmental sciences. <br />Our site development services range from initial planning and preliminary feasibility <br />studies through final design preparation of contract documents and construction <br />services. Our experience covers a variety of civil engineering related projects <br />including streets, sidewalk, and parking lots; roads and bridges; stormwater <br />management and system design; water supply, treatment and distribution; domestic <br />and industrial wastewater collection, treatment and disposal; and solid waste. We are <br />able to provide a multi - discipline response to the specific needs and time constraints <br />that are inherent to our clients. <br />Our current and past clients include many of the larger residential /commercial <br />developers in the South Florida area; as well as a variety of governmental authorities, <br />including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), various departments of <br />Miami -Dade County and the cities of Miami, Miami Beach and South Miami. <br />Many of our major retail clients, including Publix, Walgreens, and Extra Space <br />Storage have required roadway modifications, acceleration / deceleration lanes, <br />median cuts and driveway connection from State and local roadways as part of their <br />projects. As such, CES has designed and secured required FDOT permits for those <br />improvements; and in so doing have worked with FDOT staff such that they are <br />aware of the expertise we bring to our projects. <br />CES is joined by Fandrei Consulting, Inc. to provide necessary traffic engineering <br />assistance. Fandrei Consulting, Inc. (FCI), has provided traffic engineering support <br />for many FDOT connection permit applications and has provided traffic signal design <br />services for new and modified signals at many intersections in Miami -Dade and <br />Monroe Counties, including several signals on FDOT roadways. FCI has also <br />prepared and /or assisted in the development of MOT plans on FDOT roadways. <br />CES has the qualifications, relevant experience and has prepared construction plans <br />and secured FDOT driveway connection, drainage connection, utility, safety upgrade <br />and special permits for driveway cuts, including acceleration / deceleration and <br />City RFP No. 11 -I1 -01 4 <br />
