<br />Douglas Wood Associates, Inc. was founded in 1992
<br />by Mr. Douglas Wood, At that time, Mr. Wood had
<br />completed more than fifteen years of successful
<br />experience in structural engineering and engineering
<br />management. All of that experience was gained wittl his
<br />- empl6ymenCat one large AlE-firm intlieMiami area, Mr.--
<br />Woocl began his association with that firm as an entry-
<br />level engineer after his graduation with honors from
<br />the University of Wyoming in 1977. Within four years, Mr,
<br />Wood satisfied his experience requirements, passed the
<br />NCEES structural engineering exam and became a
<br />registered structural engineer in Florida,

<br />Wllile always deeply committed to his career as a structural engineer, Mr, Wood
<br />supplemented his education by part-time attendance at the University of Miami
<br />SCllool of Architecture, from Wllictl Ile graduated willl
<br />tlonors in 1985, By 1988, Mr. Wood satisfied his
<br />arcllitectural experience requirements, passed the
<br />NCARB exams and became a registered architect in
<br />Florida. While Mr. Wood's focus tlas always remainecl
<br />structural engineering. he has maintained his
<br />architecturalregistration, This supplement to his
<br />education, experience and credentials gives Ilim a
<br />unique appreciation and understanding of the needs and desires of the firm's clients.

<br />While associated with Ilis previOUS firm, Mr. Wood gained valuable experience in a wide
<br />range of building types and structural engineering
<br />services, Mr. Wood proved his value and rose quickly in
<br />seniority, In 1989, he was placed in charge of the '"
<br />building engineering division and became the firm's ......,
<br />youngest ever Vice President. By 1991, he became the
<br />firm's youngest ever President, in charge of all three of
<br />the firms divisions (architecture. building engineering
<br />and civil engineering), its three offices and its business
<br />ancJ financial affairs, Within one year of his becoming
<br />president, ltle firm's previous history of substantial
<br />financial loss performance was transformed to profit,
<br />
<br />After two years of successful performance as president,
<br />but without an ownership share,
<br />Mr. Wood decided to found his own firm and concentrate
<br />on providing the highest quality and most creative
<br />structural engineering services available. The firm was
<br />busy wittl significant work right from its start, and within
<br />a year of its inception, tile firm employed one registered
<br />engineer. two engineer interns and one support staff,
<br />Also within its first year, the firm engineered a unique
<br />adaptive re-use project which was featured in an Engineering News Record article and
<br />for Wllicll Mr. Wood was invited to make a presentation to the ASCE Structures Congress
<br />in Porttand, Oregon, Over the following years, Douglas
<br />Wood Associates, Inc. has performed extremely well,
<br />and its size and revenue have grown steadily along with
<br />its reputation and stature.

<br />Robert Santiago, P,E. (Master's degree in structural
<br />engineering with honors from City College of New York)
<br />joined the firm in 2004 and was named Vice President
<br />in 2006 and Senior Vice President in 2009. Mr. Santiago
<br />adds to tile firm the value of his more than twenty-seven
<br />years of structural engineering experience (including
<br />numerous notable projects) in and around New York City,
<br />
<br />In 2009, ownersllip of the firm was expanded to include
<br />a number of key associates, and a plan was Ill!
<br />implemented to continue ownership expansion to key
<br />professionals in the future,
