These projects have includes sites containing <br />from 0,9 to 2,0 acres. One of the recent projects was the new Walgreens retail store situated on a <br />0,82-acre former gas station site situated in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of South <br />Dixie Highway (State Road 5, U,S, Route 1) and S,W, 168th Street in the Village of Palmetto <br />Bay, southwestern Miami-Dade County, The project included driveway connections to both State <br />and County roadways; on-site paving, grading and drainage improvements; and, an off-site water <br />main extension (300 It) and an off-site gravity sewer main extension (800 It) necessary to serve <br />the project. _ <br /> <br />I ) <br /> <br />Month and Year the project was started and completed: Design Start: 2005; <br />Construction Completion: 2008, <br /> <br />Role of Firm and Responsibilities: <br /> <br />I ) <br /> <br />Under contract to the Owner, and working closely with the Project Architect and ultimate user, <br />Consulting Engineering & Science, Inc, served as Civil Engineer of Record for the design, <br />preparation of construction documents, permitting and construction administration services, <br />Special features included securing access and drainage permits from the Florida Department of <br />Transportation; securing DERM drainage approval for this former gas station; providing a <br />temporary on-site sewage disposal system due to a moratorium on connection to the existing <br />public system; and, providing 800 linear feet of off-site gravity sewer for sewer service once the <br />moratorium was lifted, <br /> <br />City RFP No, 11-11-02 <br /> <br />10 <br />
