This project included proposed
drainage and roadway improvements, including
Resident Project Representative Services, Conceptual
Streetscape Design on N.E. 32nd and N.E. 33rd Street,
north of Oakland Park Boulevard, as well as
conceptual design of N.E. 5th Avenue from Oakland
Park Boulevard to N.E. 38th Street and N.E. 34th Court
from Dixie Highway to N.E. 2nd Avenue, which is
within the heart of the City of Oakland Park's
Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). The area
has mixed uses of commercial, residential, and
industrial as well as a range of right-of-way sizes that
all had to be individually evaluated to' understand all
of the elements that provide the unique character of
each roadway. The City had established General
Design Guidelines in 2005, which would be the basis
for design, but had to be adapted to reflect the
existing conditions on-site, the change in economic
factors, and environmental concerns. The drainage
improvements and conceptual design utilized the 3D
laser Scanning High Definition Surveying as a base
for the drainage design as well as to develop three
dimensional planning of conceptual streetscape
design for N.E. 5th Avenue and N.E. 34th Court.

CRAVEN THOMPSON & ASSOCIATES, INC.
ENGINEERING - SURVEYING - LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE - PLANNING

2126
