The project included evaluating several
alignment options to decrease delay and travel times, vehicle emissions and total fuel
consumption. CTA designed enhanced driveway connections to each container yard with
overhead illuminated way-finding signs to guide truck traffic along the dedicated storage
lanes thereby freeing up the through lanes. The engineering services include storm water
management design and permitting and an evaluation of alternative methods for
accommodating new roadway construction over organic materials. CTA has completed the
design for the project and construction is anticipated to begin in Winter 2011. The
estimated construction cost is $8.4 Million. The CTA team included specialty subconsultants
providing surveying, traffic, geotechnical, structural and electrical engineering services.

Central Broward Water Control District, Broward County, Florida

Adolfo is the District Engineer responsible for reviewing each proposed land development
project within the 45-square mile watershed regulated by the special district to determine
compliance with the District's flood control and stormwater management criteria.
